NATIONSTAR COMPLAINT:
Submitted: July
2015
Reported By: John
Maresca in Cherry Hill, NJ
Won't Send Me My Money
My mortgage was sold to Nationstar by Bank of
America. I immediately looked up the company and saw reviews of how terrible
their service, customer support, and website was. I also saw the lawsuits
brought upon Nationstar. I immediately refinanced with Quicken. My mortgage was
paid off a month ago and they won't send my large escrow check to me. They're
sitting on it probably to make interest off of it. I was given conflicting
information from different customer support people about my check being sent,
not being sent, dates the money cleared, etc. That's when I could get through
to anyone. They won't send my check in anything with a tracking number or bank
wire. They're straight up liars and thieves. Do everything in your power to
stay FAR AWAY from this company!

CONSULTING ADVICE:
Hi John,
Nationstar Mortgage is known for violating the
rights of their clients and consumers as you know but you do not have to sit
back and take it! You have so many consumer rights and consumer protections afforded
you and the CFPB would be an excellent place to start to voice your complaint as
it only takes a few minutes to submit the complaint online to the CFPB and you
do not have to deal with any Nationstar Mortgage customer service runarounds
anymore. Your NJ Attorney General would also be an excellent person as well to
voice your concerns.
In fact, we covered your complaint today on our
radio show The Daily Complaint
and provided a pathway for success to include how to contact the CFPB - thank
you for posting your complaint online via Complaints Board so that others will
have the opportunity to learn from your experiences in dealing with Nationstar
Mortgage. There are firm rules in place with regard to escrow accounts and
correcting errors made by the servicer in a timely manner but you must know
your rights in order to exercise your rights.
In addition to submitting complaints to the CFPB
and the NJ AG, I would suggest preparing a QWR or Request for information for Nationstar
Mortgage that you can submit via fax or email – you can learn how through the
CFPB by typing in QWR in their search bar and you never have to speak with them
again. They are required to acknowledge the QWR or Request for information per
RESPA in 5 business days and answer it in 30 business days or you do have
recourse, so listen to us address your complaint on The Daily Complaint today and
contact us if you need further information on how to not only attack your
problem but to get the solutions that you are seeking. You can absolutely hold Nationstar
Mortgage accountable for their actions while obtaining your refund in an
expeditious manner.
Good luck!
Respectfully,
Dana Shafman
Managing Member
